Desk report: The first foundation anniversary of Bangladesh Bharat Sahitya Parishad was celebrated in the hall room of Electrical Employees Association on Abul Monsur Road, Mymensingh by cutting the cake in a festive manner by the poets and writers.

The program was chaired by the general secretary of this council Ziaur Rahman, conducted by the sweet-voiced poet and lyricist Arif Ahmed.

Bangladesh Bharat Sahitya Parishad’s first foundation anniversary was attended by Sheikh Momtazul Karim Shiplu, the founder of the organization, novelist M A Kabir Sumon, coordinator and managing director Abdus Sattar Sumon, general secretary of the central committee Ziaur Rahman, organizing secretary Md. Hasanuzzaman, co-  President Md Abu Sufian, Mymensingh Divisional Committee President Ratan Sarkar, General Secretary Kazi Alam, Director Shahjalal Sujan, Mohammad Amirul Islam, Shikhor Sahitya Parishad founder Hanif Raja, Marjan Sahitya Parishad founder Mohammad Afsarul Haque Bhuiyan, Shikar Sahitya Parishad organizer Shaheen Shah were present.  Budding poets and organizers Shahjalal Sujan, Md. Amirul Islam, Sohel Rana etc.

Poet and lyricist Ziaur Rahman said in the opening speech of the program that to make literature far-reaching, poets and writers must be thoughtful.  Speaking as the special guest of the program, poet M A Kabir Sumon said in his speech that Shattikar’s literature should be evaluated.  He also said that literary practice will not be fulfilled through Kavi Adda, Kavi Milan Mela.  So to spread the literature far and wide there is no alternative to association.  Sohel Rana, organizational secretary of the organization Md. Hasanuzzaman and others also spoke.

Sheikh Momtazul Karim Shiplu, the founder and executive director of Bangladesh Bharat Sahitya Parishad, gave the organizational speech. He proposed various activities and plans of the organization.  National poet Kazi Nazrul demanded publication of the government gazette in the name of Islam.  His action plans include – establishing schools for underprivileged children, establishing a madrasa for destitute Muslim children in Rajshahi region, establishing a public library in every divisional town of the country, engaging in humanitarian activities for financial donations among the victims of natural calamities and its  Proposals are made for setting up a literary foundation for the formation of financial funds for  He further said, we are always ready to do whatever is necessary for literature.  Therefore, he announced that in the last week of February 2025, preparations have been made for a discussion meeting and literary conference titled “Poet Nazrul Literary Suryasantan” in any hall room in Dhaka.  He said that the fair rights of all the writers, writers, poets, poets and lyricists who are deprived of neglected benefits will be established through Bangladesh Bharat Sahitya Parishad.  He said literature is a part of the development outline of the country.  Therefore, every organizer should work with the goal that writers are valued from above.

The event, however, was supposed to be a domestic event.  But the poet did not stay in the footsteps of the literary people in the domestic environment.  In the end, it turned out to be a very beautiful surprise event.

An exceptional religious quiz competition highlighting literature and culture was conducted on the occasion and books were distributed to the winners.

Finally, Bangladesh Bharat Sahitya Parishad announced the end of the program by awarding awards in 10 categories in a program titled “Sahitya Sudin Asbeyi”.
